About the Book

This is a book I never imagined I'd write.

And yet, it's one I now know I was called to share.

Bloom, Don't Break is raw and reflective, filled with honest moments and sacred truths that have shaped the woman I am today. It is an invitation to step into the places we often keep hidden and discover what can happen when silence gives way to truth, grace, and healing.

But this book isn't just about trauma — it's about restoration. It's about the slow, holy work of reclaiming joy, rebuilding faith, finding your voice, rediscovering your worth, and believing that your story doesn't have to end in brokenness.

Through personal reflection, faith, and the lessons I've learned along the way, I share what it has meant to make peace with the parts of my story I once wished I could forget and to begin seeing my life through a lens of possibility rather than pain.

My hope is that these pages remind you that healing does not require you to erase your past. It means learning that your past no longer gets to define your future.

Writing Bloom, Don't Break was an act of healing. It is an act of hope.

You were always meant to bloom — even here, even now.

Meet Jacqueline

Jacqueline D. Purnell

Hi, I'm Jacqueline.

I am a woman of faith, a survivor, a mother, a daughter, and now, an author.

For much of my life, I carried pain I never spoke about. I learned how to smile through sorrow, stay quiet to keep the peace, and make myself small just to feel safe. But deep inside, I always longed to be seen, to be heard, and to be whole.

My healing journey hasn't been easy or perfect. It has been years of prayer, therapy, reflection, and taking small, brave steps toward freedom. Through it all, my faith in God has been the anchor that has held me steady. Writing Bloom, Don't Break became part of that healing.

This is a sacred space, and I'm truly honored to share it with you.

Outside of writing, I love spending time in nature, enjoying good food, having soulful conversations, and creating spaces where others can exhale and simply be real.

FOR THE SURVIVOR

You deserve to be heard. You deserve to heal.

Healing may not happen all at once. Sometimes it looks like a prayer, a boundary, a conversation, a moment of truth, or one small decision to believe there can still be beauty ahead.

FOR THOSE WHO LOVE A SURVIVOR

Sometimes love means listening without trying to fix.

Sometimes it means believing someone when they finally find the courage to speak. Sometimes it simply means being present.
